July 7, 2025. Washington, D.C. – Celebrating 25 years for the global organization, Miss Earth held its annual United States national finale and grand coronation in Washington, D.C. on Sunday. The coronation featured guest Miss Earth Jessica Lane from Australia and multiple legacy titleholders while announcing this year’s national representative.
Haley Poe, age 22 of Erie, Pennsylvania, was awarded the national title of Miss Earth USA 2025, after competing as a feature cast member of Pretty Down to Earth. The 6-episode televised challenge series is available on The Queen Beauty Network.
Poe will represent the United States at the 25th Edition of Miss Earth this fall, to be held in the Philippines. Poe is a classically trained ballerina who graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She will pursue a Master of Medical Science with early acceptance to medical school.
Filmed across the United States, Pretty Down to Earth follows inspiring environmental advocates competing in a pageant style series aimed at promoting fashion, philanthropy, and personal impact. The show originated in Orlando during the preliminary round held on January 5, 2025. The selected finalists later completed filming in New York.
Known as Beauties for a Cause®, Miss Earth® empowers women through community leadership, eco-tourism, and environmental education. Poe advocates for environmental sustainability through her platform, the Microplastic Awareness Project (MAP), which focuses on cleanups, reducing single use plastic consumption, and legislation to protect the environment and our health.
The judges included 2015 Miss Earth Angelia Ong, 2020 Miss Earth Lindsey Coffey, fashion designer Bessie Besana, 2017 Miss Earth USA Andreia Gibau, and other pageant experts. The Top 5 candidates were Sydney Hella of Colorado, Madison Nero of New York, Ta’ya Hazelwood of Wisconsin, and Kiara Landon of Washington.
Considered to be the planet’s most relevant beauty event, Miss Earth invites nearly 100 countries each year to international festivities. The outgoing national titleholder Beatrice Millan-Windorski of Wisconsin most recently placed top 3 at the Miss Earth competition in November 2024.
Additional 2025 divisional winners who were crowned in January include Junior Miss Earth USA Emily Coleman of South Carolina, Pre-Teen Miss Earth USA Jailyne Hidalgo of Alabama, Little Miss Earth USA Brooklyn Morgan of South Carolina and Tiny Miss Earth USA Blake Rule of Michigan.
Recognized as a charitable organization with 501(C)(3) tax exempt status, the national pageant’s nonprofit B4ACUSA Foundation provides scholarships and grants to participants. Each candidate conducts a community environmental project. National partnerships include Comfort Bears in a Catastrophe, Los Angeles Climate Week, Goodwill Industries, the Still She Rose mental health initiative, and more.
Ranked as the top Teen national pageant by Pageant Planet, the organization’s leadership of Liv & Rock Productions enters its 10th year and has recently been awarded three consecutive “Best Producer/Director” awards by the Global Beauty Awards.
